"Sulayr" (mountain of the sun), the word used by the Arabs with reference to the Sierra Nevada mountain range, is now the symbolic name given to a great long distance footpath. The Sulayr is the longest circular footpath in Andalusia and in Spain, covering more than 300 kilometres.
